Just about one year ago we announced that Startup Weekend would be coming to Hamburg. And now we are doing it again and are really excited about it. It’s official Startup Weekend 2012 will take place from June 8th – 10th at the HafenCity University in Hamburg. We have been working on the event for a few weeks and are happy to make it public now. Startup Weekend Hamburg 2011 was just so amazing that we have to do it again. In the coming weeks we will announce a lot more news regarding the event and about what to expect. We are working on some cool gimmicks for the weekend.

Startup Weekends are weekend-long, hands-on experiences where entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs can find out if startup ideas are viable. On average, half of Startup Weekend’s attendees have technical backgrounds, the other half have business backgrounds.

Beginning with open mic pitches on Friday, attendees bring their best ideas and inspire others to join their team. Over Saturday and Sunday teams focus on customer development, validating their ideas, practicing LEAN Startup Methodologies and building a minimal viable product. On Sunday evening teams demo their prototypes and receive valuable feedback from a panel of experts.

As always we rely on your help with Startup Weekend. The organizer team is volunteering a lot of time to put this event together and is not getting paid.
