First of all, thanks to all the super great attendees, the awesome mentors and judges, the nice guests and of course our moderator Lasse Chor, who came to Hamburg straight from Silicon Valley just for this event. All of you made this event a really great experience!
Your spirit, your motivation, your strong will and creativity were amazing. It is really incredible how many exciting personalities came again to the Hafen City University to spend a weekend full of work.
But you were successful, no one gave up- instead one group even worked on their idea, without being official voted for on Friday. You all were so euphoric that your problem solving manner worked out also for Saturday night, when you handled to build up new business models, enjoyed a beer or cocktail at the EM BBQ, but still went to work afterwards. Awesome!
And last but not least, Sunday night finals were a big part for all of us! 15 rocking pitches, a room full of jumpiness, cheering, and attention. The introducing words from Edial Dekker (founder of Gidsy) made it clear: it’s the perfect time to start a company! Not because of financial or economic reasons. It is the spirit of the time, our generation, our way of thinking. We all have the responsibility and moreover the access and power the take part. Not only of something, but of everything. We can create content, program it, mix it up, change it, share it, make it better. Now go and do it! Wow, thanks for that. And at the end all 15 groups did it, one kick-ass pitch after the other. Only 3 minutes to go.
“And the winners are..”. Silence. Everybody waiting. Nils-Carsten Huber, IBM Innovation Strategy Consulting Leader and Judge member, looks nervous from left to right. Now is the moment to announce it. To say what had happened in the last 15 minutes, where the judges struggled and fought in a separated room down stairs about the winning teams.
Prize “best pitch” goes to Bunny & Scott! Who is next? Still the 2. and 1. Price left. “Most innovative” goes to team mycampFM. Now, the last one, please: The OVERALL WINNER is: get2play – an online platform to learn how to play guitar. What’s so cool about it? Tobias (himself a musician) loves what he does, he knows the market and its needs! People want to choose their teacher, no matter where they live. On this platform they get together, slam and learn, connected through a special software, which shows music sheets and makes meetings interactive. Famous youtube guitar stars already confirmed to join, likewise good local and international working music teachers. So get to play and start learn how to make music!
All names of all the other amazing teams can be found in on Twitter or the previous blogpost, please check them out!
